Sensation, Duration & Downtime
Sensation During Treatment: Most patients experience a warm, prickling, or snapping sensation during treatment. Some areas may feel more sensitive than others. To maximize comfort, a topical numbing cream is applied before the procedure.
Treatment Duration: Each session typically takes 20–30 minutes, depending on the size and number of treatment areas.
Immediately After Treatment:
Redness, warmth, tingling, tenderness and mild swelling can occur. These effects often begin to improve over the following hours and days.
Approximately 1–3 Days:
Redness and swelling commonly continue to settle. Some patients can return to routine activities, depending on the treated area and their comfort.
Approximately 5–7 Days:
Grid-like micro-crusting may remain visible before flaking naturally. Do not pick or scrub the treated skin. Makeup should be used only when your doctor advises that it is appropriate.

Post-Treatment Care (After-Care)

- Use a cool compress only if recommended.
- For the first 24 hours, avoid washing the treated area or applying products unless your doctor advises otherwise.

Tell your dermatologist if you are pregnant, have an active skin infection, open wound or severe inflammatory acne in the treatment area, a history of keloid scarring or poor wound healing, a medical condition or medication that may affect healing, an implanted electronic device, or a history of significant PIH. Suitability must be assessed individually; treatment may need to be postponed or another option recommended.
Possible Side Effects
Temporary redness, swelling, warmth, tenderness, dryness and grid-like micro-crusting can occur. Less common effects may include prolonged redness, infection, blistering, pigment change or scarring. Seek medical advice if symptoms are severe or do not improve as expected.
